Swirly asked:

I purchased a hood for my car and it has ‘yellow pen’ description on the corners of it. I want to remove that without messing up the paintjob. HOw can I safely remove the ‘yellow pen’ markings without damage?

lots of windex and scrubbing, or some laquer thinner, and wipe it off.

Carb cleaner on a rag. Sounds bad I know but works like a charm. I use those paint pens on cars at the shop all the time and carb cleaner melts that stuff. Remember your car paint has hardeners in it to make it tough. Dont go crazy with it and be carefull but for me it works everytime.
Edit- I should clarify that I mean carb cleaner from a spray can like you get at autozone and not carb acid used for soaking carbs in and rebuilding. It will NOT harm your paint and I would let you put it on mine to prove it.

Try W-D 40. rub it gently then soap and water then wax it after.. Carb cleaner is too harsh and WILL remove the paint
